Drawing on
many years of delivering adult learning I carefully create fertile learning environments where information can be explored freely, in the pursuit of both personal and group success.
The foundation stones of this are co-creativity and self-responsibility.

Co-creativity means working together to create an outcome that is richer and more substantial than any individual could have achieved on their own.

Self-responsibility acknowledges that you are the expert on you and best placed to actively manage your own needs, within the learning experience.  Self responsibility asks you to proactively establish productive working relationships with the group by considering your own behaviour and the impact it may have on others.

Together we create group rules at the beginning of the course, these are displayed clearly during the session(s) to which they relate.  All participants are encouraged to engage in this process. Consider how you learn best and what positive behaviours and attributes you can contribute to enhance the group dynamic.

Sharing circles are used to acknowledge ‘what is alive in us’ as we progress through our learning experience.  Circles are safe spaces for your personal reflection and consolidation and to provide opportunities for you to learn and develop the witnessing process.

Touch for health is hands-on, interactive training where you have opportunities to practice your learning with others in the group and at our sharing events.  In touch for health we work in close proximity with others. Some techniques include gentle reflex point stimulation or gently holding points on the body.

Being in a learning environment can be challenging for some, if this is the case for you please contact me to discuss your concerns before you commit to the training.

The following student guidelines have been developed to help you get the most out of your adult learning experience.


  • Be safe – if you spot a situation that you feel represents a hazard make everyone aware.  In the event of a fire raise the alarm, don’t leave it to someone else.
  • Be open – learning environments are an opportunity to meet and learn with people from different backgrounds and with differing values or perspectives. Allow yourself to learn and explore the material.
  • Be patient – with yourself and others.  Learning and using new information takes time, everyone learns at their own pace and it is not comparative or competitive.
  • Be flexible – sometimes you will be practicing and sometimes you will be practiced with, all roles are equally valuable.
  • Be realistic – The primary purpose of the workshop is to learn and practice new tools and techniques.  Consider self-responsibility when choosing personal goals or issues to work with during practice. It may be kinder to yourself and other students to work on something ‘small’ or ‘generic’ in class.
  • Be present –  If you need to deal with a personal emergency please leave the room to take any calls or deal with any other messages.
  • Be curious – ask questions, listen to the questions asked by others.
  • Be involved – join in with any activities and exercises as much as you are able.
  • Be proud –  you have taken a decision to learn something new.
  • Seek solutions – owning our own responses, reactions and situations makes it possible to find other ways of doing things.
  • Show gratitude – to yourself, to other participants and to people with whom you practice and share.
